Whole set of props for a steam punk character
Easily one of the most exciting and impulse projects I worked on. Full creative freedom and ineteresting solutions to create this set of props for a steam punk character - “Master Wizzbit”
Master Wizzbit is son to the notorious time traveller Madam Frizzwig. As well as being her head engineer/scientist/go to fixer upper-er, Wizzbit is generally second in command on their air ship (which we are yet to develop a name for). His mother being a time traveller, Wizzbit comes across many curious inventions and technologies during their travels which he uses to adapt and inspire many of his ingenious creations and gadgets. He spends almost all of his spare time locked away in the bowels of the airship working on his next creation, assuming he's not repairing the ship or one of the many gadgets he makes for his mother that always seem to get "mysteriously" broken. Due to his lack of interaction with the rest of the crew, he is generally seen as reclusive, anti-social and often very mysterious, sometimes even to his mother. Amongst all his creations and inventions, his most prized possession happens to be a small porcelain doll he named "Ashley" which he's had since he was a small child that he always keeps safe sitting on his bed. Rumours often spread amongst the ships crew that should you walk past his workshop door, you can here him talking and singing songs to the doll, but Wizzbit always dismisses it whenever the doll is brought into the conversation. For this reason many of the crew could be considered to be so far as "scared" of him, but anyone who knows him well see's him as a reserved yet loyal and kind hearted friend...but even they are unsure of what dark secrets he might keep.

Across all his adventures through time, Master Wizzbit has come across no curiouser an article than a small crystal that seemed to be imbued with a power far beyond his understanding. Hastily chipping off a small section of the crystal before his mother had discovered he had gone wondering off, he had kept them a secret from the rest of the crew. Many, many experiments and tests later, Wizzbit found that the crystal seemed to have developed some form of psychic connection to him. Using this, he managed to fashion the small chips of crystal around this cuff. This allows it's wearer to become a master crafter, for whenever a person wears this cuff while tinkering with all manner of small pieces, should every cog, sprocket and spring line up perfectly, the clockwork on the cuff will spring to life, spinning in a harmonious unison of of bliss that would send shivers up the spine of any watch maker.

More of an impulse piece, this was a wrist cuff i picked up at a market, but at the time it had a fairly modern looking analogue watch on it. I loved the cuff but the watch just looked weird so i decided to add a little clockwork, a hand cast resin skull and wings and BAM! A new toy for Wizzbit.

Wanted to upload a better shot of my welder with what i've got of the costume so far. I've no idea why but unfortunately all the dirt and scratches didn't really show up again but i assure you, it looks much more beaten up in person. During his travels through time, Wizzbit came across a technology called "fusion". Wrapping his head around how to create such huge amounts of energy was no easy feat but eventually he was able to fit out a welder of his and modify with this "fusion" technology. Containing almost limitless energy potential, this welder could cut through a whole airship if one isn't careful, something Wizzbit quickly learned after spending a week repairing the ships engines after nearly cutting them in two. Naturally this doesn't stop Wizzbit from being lazy and often leaving it lying around his work area where it could fall into the wrong hands.
